ART X FOOD
A friend of mine started a non-profit company that sells art by artists from all over the world to buy food and other resources for children in South Africa. He asked me if I could come up with a name, logo and brand for free. How could I say no?

Before I start working on a brand I usually picture it being used in the market to get an idea of how to approach the logo design. I thought using a stenciled type design would be a cost efficient technique to use if there wasn't printing technology around in certain areas of the outreach process.

As I was looking through the cascades of stencil fonts online my eye caught the familiar shape of the ribbon commonly used in charities, except it was sideways. I went with it and ended up really liking the meaning and simplicity of the final design.
